Class Evaluation

1.Some things i liked about this class was that we learned how to work with softwares. I learned how to type with out looking. Also how we would do our life planning journal every other day in class and i would write down my goals and a reflection if i accomplished them or not and how will i accomplish them further on in life.I liked everything about this class it was really fun.
2. I guess one thing i didn't like about this class would be the CTR card check because sometimes i would think i would't have it with me or my life planning book. A second thing would be when we had to read our reflections about our success statements out loud.
3.Some recommendations for this class would be to like play games every other day and do fun activities.
4.A highlight for me in this class would be when we would go over the student success statements. This was a highlight because some statements were true and they were interesting.
5.Yes i think i did my best in this class because i would do all my statements i would come to class everyday and i would update my life planning book when we were suppose too.
6.Sometimes i read my life goals. I read them sometimes i don't have time or o forget to read them.
7.Yes, i am committed into being a CTR person because if your a CTR person then you don't have to worry about many things also you will get appreciated when you do the right thing.
8.What i learned from this class was how to you word and excel better. I also learned how to use the blogger and google drive.
9.I will always remember when we would update our life planning book because at first i didn't know i would be able to come up with more than 100 goals. Now that we have been updating it i almost have 200 hundred goals that i never thought i would have or be able to come up with.

Harmful effects of tobacco

Some harmful effects can be getting sick when you’re older you can get diseases such as lung cancer. Smoking can cause death. You can get cancer and die from it you can either get cancer in esophagus, larynx, mouth, throat, kidney, bladder and etc. You can also get heart disease and can get strokes. If you are a woman and you smoke, it maybe be hard for you to get pregnant because they say that tobacco makes it harder for a women to get pregnant. If you smoke while you’re pregnant then you are at higher risk of having a miscarriage, also increases the chance of the baby dying by the disease called sudden infant death syndrome.  

The Ultimate Choice

“ Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions for the remainder of your life. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is your keystone for being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice. The ultimate choice is: to be a CTR Person- to Always CHOOSE THE RIGHT 24/7!!!” --MR.HAYMORE

What this means is that whatever you choose to do that choice will make you choose the right decision. This choice you make  will be you key to being a good person and good student. If you choose to do all your work and help those that are in need of help then this will make you a good person because you are a CTR person 24/7. When you are a CTR person 24/7 good things will come because you are always doing the right thing no matter what. If your friends tell you to do something bad you don’t do it because you are a CTR person and know that what they want you to do will get you into a lot of trouble. With you being a CTR person 24/7 you will succeed in life because you will follow all the rules and won’t do nothing wrong.

What this means is that when you cheat and you either get a good score or win at a game it is wrong because you didn’t play the right way you cheated and it’s not fair when you win because you cheated it’s not right. If you lose by doing what’s right then it shows that you at least tried and did your best. For example you have to take a test for your next class but you didn’t study so your friends tell you that you should cheat and that you will pass the test. You start to think about cheating or not at the end it’s almost time to take the test so you decided to cheat, the teacher gives you the test and you cheat on it you turn it in and then a week later he passes the test back and you see that you passed the test but you passed it by cheating which is wrong. Then you realize that it was wrong so you promise yourself that on the next test you won’t cheat so you don’t cheat on the next test and you fail that test because you didn’t cheat but it is good because you failed but you didn’t cheat.

A baby born with zika virus

On Tuesday a baby girl was born with the virus called zika. The mother of the baby that was born with zika is originally from Honduras. Although this is not the first baby born with zika it is still something to worry about. The mother came in to the hospital and they did a ultrasound screening on the baby to see if everything was okay. When they did the screening they saw that the baby had significant microcephaly. What this means is that babies that have microcephaly have small brains and small heads which is not normal. The mother came to the United States to visit family members that live in New Jersey but also came here for better medical treatment. During the mother’s second trimester of pregnancy she developed a fever and a rash, two of the symptoms that virus gives you. The virus can give babies microcephaly and other neurological problems.

Malik Stewart and Roman Chapa

This relates to the statement because one of them won by cheating and the other lost with honor. Malik Stewart failed with honor because he lost a wrestling championship and after he lost he talked to his opponent and his father that was dying of cancer. Malik’s opponent won the championship for his father because that’s what he wanted to do before his father passed away. I learned that sometimes when you fail with honor it can be a good thing because you might have made someone really happy that your opponent won or someone would’ve thanked you for losing with honor than by cheating. On the other hand Roman Chapa won by cheating in a horse race. He cheated by shocking his horse towards the ending of his race because he was in 5th place so he shocked his horse and his horse couldn’t stand the shock so it ran faster making Chapa come in first place of the race.This is good example of winning by cheating because it left his name with a bad reputation making him a cheater.

 

“ Memorial Day”

  Memorial day is a federal holiday that is celebrated on the last monday of May. It was originally called decoration day.This day shows respect and honor to those have served in the United States Military. It recognizes men and woman who died while they were serving the U.S military. They are honored by doing parades, speeches, and visiting cemeteries and memorials.On memorial day i won’t be celebrating it because i don’t know of someone who has passed away from the military but i’ll show respect by saying “sorry for your lose and i thank your son/daughter for fighting for our country.” i’ll also thank the soldiers today or anyone i see that has/ is in the military,air force,army, marines and etc. I think memorial day is a good holiday because you get to remember those who have died serving in the military for the United States. This day is a good day to learn about what happen during wars and how things happened so you can see what the people died while fighting for our country. Memorial day is a day where you show respect to the people that fought for our country during wars and that unfortunately have passed away. This day is special because it lets family remember their loved ones and can see how appreciated they are and how thankful people are that they have fought for our country.

This is saying that if you have good goals and they are right goals and you keep on pursuing them you will accomplish your goals and succeed in life. When you pursue your goals sometimes you will accomplish it and sometimes you won’t accomplish it it all depends on how much you want that goal if you really want that goal you will try to do everything so you can reach that goal. Most people just have goals but they don’t know if they are going to accomplish it because they don’t know how much they want that goal, if you really want something in life or you want to accomplish something then give your everything to accomplish your goal. When you pursue your goals and won’t give up until you have reached it and say “ all this hard work payed off”  and you see yourself successful in life then you will be proud of yourself because you accomplished one of your goals and it was a good goal and you did the right thing to accomplish it you were determine to reach your goal and you  did. Most people will give up on their goals/dreams because they don’t try to accomplish them but if you do the right thing to accomplish them then you will be a successful person.  

Wellness Specialist

Duties and responsibilities:

They work for schools,local governments, companies and other organization group.They train people for their health and fitness goal.They also consult with people.Develop programs and events to teach people about health topics.

Salary:   

$49,480 Education: They need to have a health and wellness degree. They need to have a bachelor's degree. Demand for this profession: It will increase a 21% between 2012 and 2022.   Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? No,i don’t think i would like to be a wellness specialist because it’s not something i would enjoy doing.

   What this is saying is that nothing can be more important than your values. You may have something that you think is important but it really isn’t because than can be more important than your values. For example let’s say that you want to accomplish something in your life and you set your mind to it and you put in all your time so you can accomplish what you want to accomplish. This is more important than anything else because it is one of your values in life that you look forward to. Most people don’t think values are important but sometimes they can be no matter what it is it is important because it is one of your values. Your values can be cherished by so many different people, your good values can become something important to someone or can help someone out when they need help in a rough time.

What this is saying is that you should follow these four steps into your career. If you want to achieve something or become something then you should follow these steps which is the first step is to work hard for what you want in life, the second thing is to make sure you are doing the things or you are doing what you want to do what you enjoy doing, make sure you are following your passions and that no one is forcing you into doing it. Three make sure you enjoy doing that job and don’t do it for the money because if you do it for the money and you don’t enjoy what you are doing then you are going to be stuck in work place you don’t want to be in because you are just doing it for the money so make sure you enjoy your job and it’s something you like doing.If you do good things for others and it comes from the heart then good things will happen to you and you will make people happy of you. When you do these four steps then you will be a successful person throughout your career and throughout life because you are a nice caring person and you are doing what’s right in life to be able to succeed in life. After doing all these things it will pay off because you are a successful person and people will admire you and talk good things about you and would want to be like you. After you have done these steps you can pass them down to people or tell people these steps so they can be successful like you.

What this is saying is that you can never gain something good when you do something bad. If you do something bad you can’t gain something good from it because you did something bad and when you do something bad you get consequences and don’t gain nothing good at all. If you do something good and something nice like helping other people with their work or doing them a favor you can gain something good and that something good can be either respect, admiration, or trust. If you gain this then you will feel good about yourself because you did something good and you should be proud of that because people will see you as a good person and they will ask you for advice or they will look up to you and will say good things about you when they are talking about you to someone else .

   What this means is that when you do something that is right it is mostly done with self-respect,dignity,integrity and self esteem. When you do something good with at least one of these character you will get rewarded. Sometimes when you do good things at the right time you may get rewarded without knowing that you did something good at the right time. This also means when you do something when you good self-esteem things are just better and you see things a positive way. The better your self esteem is the better person you are because that shows what nice person you are and and the things you are capable of. Most people will not even do the right thing and will not say what happen, or will not turn in or give up what they found and they won’t get rewarded. Sometimes people do these things because that’s how they are they will return what’s not theirs because they know that keeping something that doesn’t belong to them is wrong.

Veterinarian

Duties and Responsibilities:

They examine animals to diagnose their health problems. Perform surgery on animals.They treat injuries and illnesses of animals.Operate medical equipment, test for vaccines against diseases.

Salary:

$88,490

Education:

They need to complete a Doctor of  Veterinary Medicine Degree.

Demand for this profession:

From 2014-2024 it should be about 9%

 

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

No, i wouldn’t like to be one. I like animals and love taking care of them but it’s not something i would enjoy doing i wouldn’t like to work with them just because i wouldn’t like to see them suffer from pain when they are sick.   

World Record

The world record for the tallest man was 8ft 11.1 inches tall.

This record was held on June 27, 1940.

It was set on June 27,1940 as well.

Favorite world records:

 I like the world record of highest margin of victory against computer on 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. The person who did this world record was named Patrick Halder, he broke this world record on May 28,2014. I also like the world record of the hula hoop because the lady who did this world record of 200 times spinning the hula hoop is cool, because when i was in elementary i would spin like 8 hula hoops with my best friend during recess and lunch. This world record was held on November 25,2015.  

   

 Reflection: I don’t think i would like to break a world record because i don’t think i will be able too there are so many records to break that i wouldn’t know what to choose to try to break and beat the world record.

 What this is saying is that no matter at what moment you make a decision you should do the right thing. No matter what the decision is or who made the decision you should always do the right thing. Let’s say that the moment they make a decision isn’t a good moment so you don’t want to agree or vote on something so you just stay quiet but then you start thinking the moment can be a bad moment to say the truth or to say what you think is right but then you realize that it doesn’t matter because it is the right thing to do but the moment doesn’t matter because you are doing the right thing. Most people may stay quiet and not say anything at the moment because they know it’s a bad moment and they don’t want to get in trouble or maybe get judged so they just stay quiet, but you are doing the opposite you don’t care about if the moment is good or if the moment is a bad moment to say what you want to say because you are doing the right thing. It doesn’t matter when they make the decision and who makes the decision, you need to do the right thing no matter what because it is the right thing to do and you should always do the right thing.

 

Sports Manager

Duties and responsibilities:

What they do is they handle business matter. They can also trade deals and negotiate with contacts. They can sometimes handle promotional events and media. Also they can hire coaches

Need to have a degree in managing, marketing. Some requires a master’s degree.

Reflection: Would you like to be one? Why? Why not?

Yes, i would like to be one because it seems interesting and i think i would enjoying doing and working in that work field. I also like sports so i would enjoy working as a sports manager.

What this means is that it is a good moment when you what your suppose to be doing when your suppose to be doing. When you don’t do the right thing at the right time then it is bad because it can be that you weren’t paying attention. For example let’s say you have to do a presentation for your science class and you don’t know your part and you’re the next one to talk and present your part but you weren’t paying attention to the person that was presenting before you, so you just don’t say your part when your suppose to but you don’t because you have no idea on what to say. Another example can be like if you’re in a sport and you either have to score, block, or throw to win the game or the quarter,inning, time etc, you have to time when is the right time to do it so you can score and win but if you score at a bad timing then your team may lose and everyone will be mad or upset at you because you didn’t time the play good. Let’s say you did time the play correct the  you will have scored and gained another point and might’ve even won the game because of your good timing so since you did a good timing at the right time then it is a great moment because you made yourself proud and you made your team proud.

What this quote is saying is that when you give your word of honor it’s like you making a promise to someone. If you say you’re going to come on time to school everyday and you mess up one time then you didn’t mean your word of honor because you came to school late when you said you were going to come early. When you do something against your word of honor then you are not doing a good a job you making people see that you are not a responsible person and can not keep their word of honor because you are doing something against it. When you do something to make your word of honor look bad people will think you are a liar and not responsible and they won’t be able to trust you. When you give your word of honor remember that you made a promise because it is your word of honor and you can’t break that promise because it is a promise that you have to keep and something you own up to now.

 

                                                   

Medical Scientist  

Duties and responsibilities:

Their responsibility to come up with new treatment, drug and vaccine options. They also write technical reports on the research they do. The scientist research bacteria and viruses.  Some scientist that run clinical trial have to interview patients.

Salary:

Education:

They need a PhD in biological sciences, before getting a Phd they usually get a medical degree and before the medical degree they get the bachelor's degree in biology.

Demand for this profession:

From 2012-2022 is will be a growth of 13%.

I don’t think i would like to be one because it doesn’t really catch my attention. I don’t think i would like working as a medical scientist.

What this is saying is that you should follow these 10 commandments and good things will happen to you. Although you don’t need to follow these commandments for good things can happen to you, you can be a good person and do things right and good things will happen to you as well. If you’re just a good person and do these things already or already follow these commandments then you should encourage other people to follow these commandments and to try in being a good person.To follow these commandments you can start by the easiest one or you can do one by one and see how thingfs work out. When you do these things you will see people thanking you and saying good things about you and  maybe some people will look up to you or admire you for the things you have been doing.

What this quote means is that  if you promise something to someone and break that promise that is wrong because you told them you made a promise to them saying you were going to do it but you never did. For example if you promise someone that you will go to their presentation, go to a school dance, a game, a date, shopping, practice etc you need to keep that promise and do what you said you were going to do no matter what happens or what people will say you need to keep that promise that you made to that person. When you promise something to a person that means that they trust you because they told you something or they said something to you and you made a promise that you weren’t going to say something because they trust you, but if you don’t keep that promise then they will see that they were wrong in trusting you and won’t trust you again. If you break a promise especially if you make a promise to your coach or teacher and you break that promise they will see that you are not responsible and they will think that you are a liar that doesn’t keep their promises.  

                                                  

Registered Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

They observe patients and record their observations. They set up plans for patients care. Also they consult and collaborate with doctors and other professionals. Some registered nurses work on a team with physicians and other health professionals. They can also operate and monitor medical equipment.

Demand for this profession:

It is predicted to grow a 16% from 2014 - 2024.

Yes i think i would like to be a registered nurse because it’s something that i think is interesting and i would enjoy working in. I would like to work as this because i get to help people and i like helping people.
